Chris’s previous tenure in the Eagle Bar & Grill was a tremendous success, collecting accolades and awards locally and from across the country for the outstanding quality of the Eagle’s offering. Ballymena ‘foodies’ are already voting with their feet; since Galgorm Castle members were informed of Bell’s return alongside some social media activity, the restaurant has been fully booked over the two weekends since Bell returned.
“I am delighted to be back at the Eagle and am eager to provide the highest quality offerings using fantastic local produce at reasonable prices,” explained Bell, the first chef from Ireland to win the Gordon Ramsay Scholarship.

Crongrats to USA - Well done EuropeMan! I watched the whole three days on TV. I'm beat!. It's much more relaxing to make your way around a European Tour event, pausing for a glimpse of leader boards and a quick sandwich from the well staffed and happy people. This is NUTS! This is the Ryder Cup. These people need treatment or is that just the most exciting Golf Tournament you've ever seen? Perhaps not but the top game came close. We will all have our own choices of golfers left out and then the selections during the war but the teams did their thing. Some veterans came good and celebrated & some inexperienced 'Ryder Players' fought bravely but were found wanting., They certainly will not be next time. The Ryder Cup is a fantastic event for all, long may it live in golfing history. Mr Arnold Palmer would have been proud of both teams but chuffed with the win for the U.S.A. Congrats to everyone for a brilliant show!
