Mark Robinson Golf Art Exhibition Opens at the National Bank Of Oman Golf Classic, European Challenge Tour Tournament.
The second edition of the National Bank of Oman Golf Classic got off to a resoundingly royal start during Pro-Am day when His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahad bin Mahmood Al Said hit a ceremonial golf shot into the Gulf of Oman to launch the prestigious event. Mark Robinson talked his Higness through his new collection of portraits. Mark will be painting at the tournament throughout the week.
Following the opening shot, His Excellency Rashad Al Hinai, Under Secretary, Ministry of Sports Affairs, took to the stage in the magnificent VIP Pavilion, adjacent to the 18th green, to welcome the players, officials and distinguished guests.
HE Rashad Al Hinai said: “We are immensely proud of our European Challenge Tour event. Last year’s inaugural event was an enormous success and we have gone to great lengths to surpass what we achieved last year. We were overwhelmed with the praise and accolades the tournament received from the players, officials, spectators and media from all around the world.

Selected paintings of Al Mouj GC and Robinson portraits on show next week at NBO Golf Classic. @NBOgolf
Mark will also be painting at various spots around the course from Wednesday on.
Well. What a weekend for Oliver Wilson! Back on the European Tour and a brilliant win. Congratulations to him. Well deserved after all his hard work.
Also Congratulations to the European Ryder Cup team and Paul Mcginley.... What a leader! What a team!!
I'm mid commissions at the moment and had the TV on throughout but saw little. It helps me while I paint. I took the time out during painting breaks to catch up on proceedings and how well did the team play!?
Really looking forward to painting at the National Bank of Oman Golf Classic, later this month. David White, the director, has been courteous throughout and I thank him, his staff and NBO for their invite. Al Mouj Golf Course is a lovely place with far too many beautiful vistas to paint in the short time I'll be there but luckily enough, I was invited by DG to visit earlier this year and have already painted seven views. I hope to show these soon. I look forward to Al Mouj G C displaying the originals and selling the limited edition prints. Good Luck everyone with the Tournament. I'm sure it will be a great success.
As soon as i touch the ground in Dubai after the NBO G C it will be all hands on deck for the Challenge Tour final at Al Badia Golf Club, Festival City. Again thanks to James and his team for their kind invitation. It will be my second year painting at the event and i hope everyone turns out to support it. These are the future stars of the European and US tours. It's your chance to see them close up and personal before their big moves. Last year was a great event and I believe there are big plans for this year.
After the European Challenge tour final, I'll have a few days off to re-charge and complete paintings in the Studio. The next event will be at The DP World Tour Championship. Thanks to Nick and the European Tour for the invite, my sixth year. I'll be painting In the usual place. The end of a hard season......
Not quite. I've been invited to display at the Sport 360 MEGA Awards again this year. Looking forward to that. Thanks Guys.
Also, big thanks to DG for their support and continued promotion of my work.
